HF Kenya has been busy for many months providing relief to stricken families following the flooding in the country. Torrential rains in late 2006 left hundreds dead and tens of thousands displaced in the country, with a total of 1.8 million people affected in the region. HF delivered food, water and clothing, and also provided medical assistance. HF Kenya was active in a number of villages north of Kisumu in the west, and also in the Malindi area on the coast, including a camp in Nandorera where HFK helped 1200 victims. HF has also been working with the Red Cross and Oxfam to provide relief in neighbouring Ethiopia and Somalia.
